The Earth Day Information Center is offering an Earth Day Interview Locator Service for journalists and broadcasters to provide environmental experts who are able to discuss Earth Day-related issues. Earth Day is April 22.

The interview locator service offers access to scientists and public policy experts specializing in a wide range of environmental fields. Experts are available on such issues as global warming, energy, urban sprawl, biotechnology, air and water quality issues, regulatory policy, the Endangered Species Act and environmental justice.

Experts available through the Earth Day Information Center’s extensive database include:

* Dr. Bonner Cohen, senior fellow of The National Center for Public Policy Research. Dr. Cohen is an expert on environmental issues such as regulations, air quality, energy, property rights, sound science, waste management and water.

* Ron Arnold, executive vice president of the Center for the Defense of Free Enterprise and prolific author. Arnold is an expert in eco-terrorism, the funding of the establishment environmental movement, the Endangered Species Act, federal land management and property rights.

* Dr. Fred Singer, president of Science and Environmental Policy Project and professor emeritus of environmental science at the University of Virginia. Dr. Singer is an expert in issues including air pollution, global climate change, the ozone layer, acid rain and energy.

* Amy Ridenour, president of The National Center for Public Policy Research. Ridenour is an expert on issues such as energy, climate change, land rights and urban sprawl.

* Deroy Murdock, senior fellow of the Atlas Economic Research Foundation. Murdock is a commentator on environmental justice issues and a participant in the United Nation’s 2003 Global Biodiversity Forum conference,

* Paul Driessen is a senior fellow specializing in environmental issue with several think tanks and the author or the book Eco-Imperialism. He specialty is critiquing global environmental policy as it pertains to the Third World.

* Myron Ebell, director of global warming and international environmental policy at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. He also chairs the Cooler Heads Coalition, a group that focuses on climate change issues and participated in several United Nations-sponsored international environmental conferences.

* David Almasi, executive director of The National Center for Public Policy Research. Almasi is an expert on urban sprawl/smart growth, environmental justice, land rights and regulatory victim stories.
