Jean-Francois Revel’s Extraordinary Contribution

Via Michelle Malkin comes the news that Jean-Francois Revel has died.

Had he done nothing more than write his Cold War wake-up call “How Democracies Perish,” his contribution to the world would have justly been called extraordinary — yet he did much more.

A loss, too, on the left side of the fence: John Kenneth Galbraithis dead at 97.

He is best eulogized by those who appreciated him; The Nation magazine’s blog praises him warmly here.
