Not All Gulf Beaches a Photo Op of Doom and Gloom

Associated Press has a story today on Mississippi’s largely untarnished beaches. Governor Haley Barbour has said on a number of occasions, including last weekend’s Face the Nation, that “the people of the United States have the impression the whole Gulf of Mexico is ankle-deep in oil, which is simply not the case.” He says the media’s nonstop coverage of only the grim is hurting the tourism trade in his state.
