I have to give credit to Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA) for staying calm in this video, as that wouldn’t have come naturally to him.

That said, mega-demerits to him for serving in Congress for 40 billion years without reading the Constitution, and having a ready and clear answer to this question.

Based on the fact that she said, “You’re kidding,” or something similar when asked where in the Constitution the left found federal authority to impose a health insurance purchasing mandate, I’m guessing Speaker Nancy Pelosi would have been similarly flummoxed in this situation.
