Project 21’s Borelli Cites Differences Between MLK Legacy and Occupy Wall Street Agenda

Asked about the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and how they affect people today, Project 21 fellow Deneen Borelli notes that young people — especially those in black America — are lacking real models of the same quality of Dr. King they can look up to. Concerning the protests against capitalism that are part of the Occupy Wall Street effort and how they relate to Dr. King’s legacy, Deneen says the modern protesters’ “target is misguided,” and that they would be more productive if they focused their criticism on the policies of the Obama Administration that are actively hurting job creation. Lacking this focus, she says that the Occupy Wall Street mob is simply “disruptive.” This segment, featuring co-hosts Dave Briggs and Mike Jerrick, comes from the 10/15/11 edition of “Fox and Friends” on the Fox News Channel.
