National Center for Public Policy Research Announces Justin Danhof, Esq., as the New Director of its Free Enterprise Project

Legal and Policy Expert to Lead Efforts to Battle Crony Capitalism

Washington, D.C.Justin Danhof, Esq., presently general counsel of the National Center for Public Policy Research, has been named the new director of the of National Center’s Free Enterprise Project. In this increased role, Danhof will be responsible for planning and coordinating the organization’s work to combat crony capitalism, corporate rent-seeking and the misguided support of left-wing interest groups by big business.

“We are very pleased to have Justin Danhof taking the helm of the Free Enterprise Project,” said Amy Ridenour, chairman of the National Center. “Justin has already been a very successful shareholder advocate, promoting free enterprise and going toe-to-toe with corporate CEOs on behalf of the National Center at more than a dozen shareholder meetings. His work at the meetings, and in very many media appearances about them, has been exemplary.”

Danhof, who has also served as the National Center’s General Counsel since 2010, has represented the National Center at the shareholder meetings of Google, Pfizer, Target, Johnson & Johnson, J.C. Penney and Merck, among others.

“I plan to continue the National Center’s distinguished record of Free Enterprise Project success stories,” said Danhof. “Corporate titans who run publicly-traded companies tend to see themselves as above reproach, which is why it’s good to remind them that shareholders are the true owners of public companies. When we see a company acting against its best interests and the interests of its shareholders, such as when companies have embraced ObamaCare and cap-and-trade for perceived political accommodation, the National Center’s Free Enterprise Project will be there to rein them in. When we see a company rent-seeking from the government at the expense of the American taxpayers, we will be there to stand up for free markets.”

As a legal and public policy expert, Danhof has provided commentary and been interviewed on topics ranging from ObamaCare to Occupy Wall Street. Danhof’s work has been widely published and quoted in major newspapers such as the Boston Globe, Politico, Sacramento Bee, Dallas Morning News, Christian Science Monitor, Des Moines Register and Columbus Dispatch, among others.

Danhof has also been interviewed for his expert opinion on many prominent radio shows, including the G. Gordon Liddy Show, In the Market With Janet Parshall, the Mike Rosen Show, Talkback with Chuck Wilder and the Jim Bohannon Show.

Prior to joining the National Center, Danhof worked with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office in the white-collar division where he handled cybercrimes cases.

Before that, Danhof was employed at the Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. Danhof holds a Bachelors of Science degree in economics and finance from Bentley University (Waltham, MA) and a Juris Doctor and Master of Laws in Taxation degrees from the University of Miami School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in New York and the District of Columbia.
