Project 21 Members: No Excuse for ObamaCare Policy Cancellations

Having heard excuses and redefinitions aplenty, members of the of the Nation Center’s Project 21 black leadership network are aghast at the way the Obama Administration is trying to spin how ObamaCare is failing the American people.  In particular, there is concern over how ObamaCare’s implementation is leading to the cancellation of millions of policies that people were happy to have and were previously promised they could keep.

P21DutchMartinFor example, Project 21 member Darryn “Dutch” Martin said:

It’s absolutely painful to listen to liberal political strategists do everything in their power to spin the ObamaCare catastrophe.  They’re spinning so hard and fast it reminds me of kids on a playground getting off of the merry-go-round.

As soon as both step on solid ground — and back to earth — they stumble and fall.

Liberals are virtually stumbling over themselves, trying to defend ObamaCare.

It would be comical were it not so sad.

P21ChristopherArpsProject 21 member Christopher Arps added:

The Obama Administration now says that, if you had a policy you liked before ObamaCare passed, your plan may be grandfathered — as long as it didn’t change.  This allegedly qualifies Obama’s past claim that you can keep your plan.

But they didn’t tell you until now that your policy may have to change to meet ObamaCare standards.  Unbelievable!

Capitalists understand that what President Obama and his liberal supporters consider a substandard health insurance plan is really the Invisible Hand of the marketplace at work.

Insurance companies aren’t selling such plans to be greedy and make huge profits.

In offering these policies, insurers are selling a product that a specific segment of the population can afford and wants.  Also, they’re selling a product that gives individuals a choice of what coverage to buy for themselves and their families.  Companies that offer products people don’t want won’t stay in business for long.

ObamaCare is destroying a market, and it is now making it even more expensive for the certain people to purchase health insurance.  Government is picking winners and losers, and taking wealth from young people and transferring it to others.

That’s the real reason insurance policies are being canceled.
