Tell Amazon to STOP Funding Black Lives Matter

Black Lives Matter (BLM) activists and supporters are rioting in our streets. They are attacking law enforcement officers, desecrating houses of worship, and destroying historical landmarks. And as they loot and burn businesses in your town, they do so while enjoying the support of one of America’s largest corporations – Amazon.

The behemoth online retailer that you probably use regularly has pledged financial support to the Marxist BLM organization. At the behest of the BLM mob, Amazon even canceled contracts that aided local police departments. Amazon is well known for its far-left positions: The company and its CEO – Jeff Bezos – already rely on the radical Southern Poverty Law Center to block Christians and conservatives from its charitable program, and it has worked to block President Trump’s executive orders to secure our borders.

But now, by backing an extremist group that supports reparations for black Americans and the defunding of police, Amazon has gone too far.

LABOR DEPARTMENT DEMANDS MICROSOFT EXPLAIN ITS RACIST HIRING PRACTICES

After Microsoft’s recent announcement that it will “double the number of Black and African American people” within its leadership ranks, the Department of Labor has notified the company that its pledge smacks of good old-fashioned racism. As a federal contractor, Microsoft cannot engage in racism of any kind. The Labor Department noted that the company’s announcement “appears to imply that employment action may be taken based on race.”

WHITE HOUSE V. WHITEHOUSE ON FEDERALIST SOCIETY

Senator Sheldon Whitehouse is shocked, shocked that the Federalist Society supports original-meaning interpretations of our written Constitution, instead of whatever interpretation suits leftwing purposes on any given day.  And he’s scandalized that FedSoc members sometimes talk to judges and law-school administrations.  He somehow overlooks the massively greater incidence of such activity on the left.  His attacks on the FedSoc are transparent frauds, as FEP’s Scott Shepard discusses here.

DISNEY’S “PATHETIC” GROVELING TO CHINA

On Steve Malzberg’s “Eat the Press” program on the RT America network, Justin Danhof, Esq., criticized Disney for filming portions of its live-action “Mulan” movie in an area plagued by allegations of horrific human rights abuses against a religious minority perpetrated by the ruling Chinese Community Party.

PROMINENT DISNEY STAKEHOLDER CALLS COMPANY’S EMBRACE OF CHINA ‘WILDLY OFFENSIVE,’ DEMANDS ANSWERS Danhof was also interviewed about this issue in an article written by the Daily Caller News Foundation and republished in hundreds of sources. Danhof said that Disney’s embrace of China despite its reported oppression of the Uighur Muslims is akin to “normalizing genocide,” and promised that “Disney will be hearing from us in a formal way on this issue.”

ABANDONING BROKEN LOCALES HAS BECOME A FIDUCIARY OBLIGATION FOR FIRMS

Leftwing Governance has made many cities and states unlivable , with extended lockdowns, unchecked violence, and skyrocketing tax burdens.  Corporations face duties to shareholders and employees alike to abandon these social-justice sinkholes and relocate to safe, reasonable, and affordable locations.

NATIVE AMERICAN ACTIVIST: RENAMING TEAMS “LIKE ANOTHER INDIAN REMOVAL ACT”

The vast majority of Native Americans want to save the names — to keep their proud representation in American life, including as the Washington Redskins.  But Pepsi, FedEx and Nike ignored them, following mendacious woke academics to force “another Indian Removal Act” nationwide.  Shameful — and proof positive that corporations should stay out of social policy.

WHITE SUPREMACY, THE RED SCARE, AND MORAL PANICS

Our country has been swept this year by the latest of its occasional moral panics — when the media and the more susceptible among us get swept away by angry fear about something not very real.  There is certainly some police misconduct, but there’s not much evidence of “systemic racism,” by the nation’s police or anyone else.  As this latest moral panic fades, how should we respond to it, its instigators, and their ulterior motives?

Many thanks to all of you who took up the challenge and submitted comments to the Department of Labor in favor of its proposed rule that will keep ERISA pension funds to asset accrual rather than social-justice posturing.  Your contributions made a big difference to the input received by the Department and will have a real effect on its final rule.  Thank you!
