
Born in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and emigrating with her family to the U.S. in 1978, Project 21 Ambassador Auriol Sonia Morris has worked in the fields of education, finance and litigation support. She was also a candidate for the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina’s 6th congressional district.
Most of Sonia’s career has been dedicated to some aspect of education, whether in the classroom or in administration. She was a business lecturer at a Chinese university, and most recently she taught U.S. History and the Constitution to high school juniors in Columbia, South Carolina.
Sonia earned both a J.D. with a concentration in Dispute Resolution and an M.A. in public policy from Regent University, as well as a B.A. in the Philosophy of Politics and Law from the State University of New York at Binghamton, graduating magna cum laude.
