Project 21 member Gianno Caldwell is the principal and founder of Caldwell Strategic Consulting, a bipartisan lobbying firm located in Washington, D.C. Prior to opening his own business, Gianno accumulated years of governmental experience in jobs at the federal, state and local levels.

Before relocating to the nation’s capital, Gianno, a native Chicagoan, served as the director of government relations for Naperville Township, Illinois, where he developed cost-cutting leadership strategies and successfully lobbied for the reduction of property tax rates. He also served in the office of the Illinois State Treasurer, where he helped successfully advance the passage and enactment of venture capital legislation and helped with state investment in areas such as health care and technology. He also worked for Congressman John Shimkus and the Social Security Administration.

Gianno holds a Bachelors of Science degree in psychology from Grand Canyon University. In his free time, he enjoys taking to the skies as an airplane pilot — flying throughout the Washington, D.C. area.
