JA’QUON STEMBRIDGE

Ja’Quon Stembridge

Project 21 Freedom Fellow Ja’Quon Stembridge is a 19-year-old college student from Greene County, Georgia who is passionate about making sure the next generation has a seat at the table. Raised by a single mother as an only child, he learned early on the value of hard work, responsibility and standing up for what you believe in.

He first got involved in politics in 2020 after seeing firsthand how bad government overreach could be during the COVID-19 pandemic. That experience pushed him to learn more, speak up and get involved in the process.

Since then, he has worked on campaigns, knocked on doors, made phone calls and spoken at events across the state of Georgia. In 2023, he founded Georgia’s 10th Congressional District Teen Republicans to help more young people get involved and take a stand. He later served as Chairman of the Georgia Teen Republicans, focusing on growing youth engagement and building the next generation of leaders.

At just 18 years old, Ja’Quon was elected Assistant Secretary of the Georgia Republican Party, becoming the youngest elected committee member in the party’s history. In that role, he worked to bring more young people into the process and traveled across the state to connect with grassroots leaders.

Today, he continues to stay engaged, traveling, listening and encouraging young people to step up and make their voices heard. He is currently in college and remains committed to empowering Gen Z and shaping the future of his state and country.
