Takosha Swan

Project 21 Ambassador Dr. Takosha Misheal Swan is a governor-appointed public official for Veterans in Georgia, a decorated advocate and a proud dual-branch U.S. military veteran. She is a sought-after keynote speaker known for inspiring audiences through her leadership, service, and vision for unity.

Dr. Swan has received numerous honors for her service to country and community, including an honorary doctorate in humanitarianism and the prestigious U.S. Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award. She has also been recognized with two official commendations from Governor Brian Kemp for her outstanding work supporting veterans, service members and their families.

Her military career spans both the U.S. Army — where she served during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 — and the Georgia Army National Guard, where she aided in Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. Her commitment to veterans’ well-being led her to compose and perform The Veteran Anthem, which earned her recognition in Georgia House Resolution 590 for its impact on mental health and recognition of America’s heroes.

Dr. Swan’s civic accolades include the “Unsung Hero” award from U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson and the “Rockin’ Women of Rockdale” award from former Rockdale County Chair Commissioner Oz Nesbitt. She is also a featured vocalist with The Alpharetta Symphony Orchestra during their annual patriotic tribute to veterans, service members and their families.

An entrepreneur and community leader, Dr. Swan holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and an MBA. She owns several businesses, is the founder of The Veteran Anthem, Inc. and is a founding member of The Spiritual Legislative Council.

Above all, Dr. Swan is a devoted mother of three and lives by her personal mission: to promote life — and life more abundantly — for all.
