Torrey Snow

From 2020-2025, Project 21 Ambassador Torrey Snow hosted the afternoon drivetime Torrey Snow Program on WBAL Newsradio 1090, one of the top-rated programs in the Baltimore Metro region. As a public communicator, he strives to bring a balanced and rational voice to contemporary challenges.

Torrey moved to Anne Arundel County, MD in 2006 after graduating college. He began his career teaching at a local school, immersing himself in the community and working primarily with families in underserved areas. In 2008, he transitioned to a career in IT, serving as a manager for a computer systems administration team. Torrey and his wife, Joanna, are proud parents of a daughter and three sons.

With a deep passion for statesmanship, Torrey ran for the Anne Arundel County Council in 2018. Following the campaign, he remained involved in local advocacy, with an emphasis on conservative solutions for impoverished communities. He became a key figure in Maryland politics, significantly improving minority engagement with the Republican Party. Torrey has served on multiple community boards and maintained active memberships in civic groups, including the Anne Arundel County NAACP, the Anne Arundel County Charter Revision Commission, and the Odenton Town Center Advisory Board, among others.

In 2020, Governor Larry Hogan appointed Torrey to the Maryland Commission for African American History and Culture, where he contributed to overseeing Maryland’s Banneker Douglass Museum and the African American Heritage Preservation Grant Program.

As the part-time Director of Communications for the Douglass Leadership Institute, Torrey leverages his extensive experience and communication skills to advance DLI’s mission of empowerment across multiple digital platforms.

In the summer of 2025, Torrey joined the full-time staff at the Center for Urban Renewal and Education (CURE) as the National Clergy Director, reporting directly to Pastor Donald Eason, the successor to CURE Founder Star Parker. In this influential role, Torrey focuses on building strong relationships with clergy nationwide, equipping them with tools and education to lead impactful urban renewal. His efforts center on engaging young men, strengthening families, and empowering clergy to serve as community statesmen. Additionally, he champions education policies that prioritize academic excellence and resist social indoctrination in schools, alongside other key issues relevant to the community.

Torrey is an avid space and technology enthusiast, frequently taking his telescope out to stargaze and marvel at the cosmos. He finds great joy in fishing and hiking through Maryland’s scenic trails with his family. At home, he enjoys lively evenings playing board games (especially chess), completing puzzles, and playing games with his children.

Torrey remains committed to raising awareness and fostering empathy for community issues. Connect with Torrey online at “Snow in the Know” on major social media platforms, including YouTube, X, and Instagram.
