The FDA has asked a federal judge to allow it to wait until 2076 to fully release documents tied to the approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.
Responding to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit by a medical transparency group called the Public Health and Medical Professionals for Transparency (PHMPT), the FDA told the court it has 329,000 pages of documents related to the FOIA request, and proposed releasing 500 pages per month to allow for redactions of exempt material.
At that rate, the FDA would fully release the records in question in about 55 years. This is unacceptable.
Federal law requires public disclosure of these files. The release of the documents should also help settle the ongoing debates regarding the FDA review process and the safety and effectiveness of the Pfizer vaccine.
The public’s need for this information is urgent, given the trend toward vaccine mandates nationwide.
The Free Enterprise Project (FEP) wants to see Pfizer’s complete documentation within our lifetime. Pfizer has the ability to release this data even while the FDA is dragging its bureaucratic feet.

Dear Mr. Bourla:
I am writing to you today to ask that Pfizer release the documents tied to the FDA approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, and release the data supporting the FDA’s conclusion that the Pfizer vaccine is safe and effective. What is preventing Pfizer from providing the evidence that a product injected into millions of Americans is both safe and effective?
As you know, Public Health and Medical Professionals for Transparency (PHMPT) has filed a lawsuit requesting public dissemination of the data and information in the biological product files for each of the COVID-19 vaccines. I support PHMPT’s request to review the approval process in order to settle the ongoing public debate regarding the adequacy of the FDA’s oversight.
Please come clean and fully disclose any materials related to the FDA’s approval of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. People have a right to know what they are putting into their bodies.
