16 Jun 2012 More Project 21 Comments on Obama’s Radical Immigration Shift
As the Obama Administration prepares to make radical changes to the nation’s immigration policy, Project 21 members are speaking out against these executive-level alterations that were previously not popular enough to pass congressional muster.

For example, Project 21 member Cherylyn Harley LeBon, a former senior counsel with the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, said:
Once again, this Administration puts forth an eleventh-hour order and circumvents the legislative process. This time, it is a regulation that, in part, has already been rejected by Congress.
Moreover, I question the timing of this move – three-and-a-half years into this Administration. Needless to say, it’s an important regulation that will affect over 800,000 people and has enormous consequences in our struggling economy
Additionally, Project 21 member Jerome Hudson said:
Once again, executive overreach on the part of the Obama Administration is creating bad policy that will hurt states, counties, cities and individuals. The contempt for the Constitution from this White House is blatant, and it is unfair to everyone trying to come to our nation through legal means. President Obama cannot pick and choose what laws he will enforce. Wrong is wrong.
Project 21 member Shelby Emmett, soon to become a bar-certified lawyer in Maryland, added:
Apparently having a great sob story is how policy is made by this White House. I wonder if Obama will allow U.S. citizens with sob stories to escape prison for robbing a bank to feed their families. I have a sob story, but I’m pretty sure the IRS wouldn’t buy it.
America is becoming like the Land of Oz, where the man behind the curtain makes laws when he has no authority to do so and non-citizens seem to have more rights than the rest of us.
