Charles Butler, a member of the Project 21 national advisory council, is a financial adviser and the host of the conservative talk show “The Reality Check.”

Charles, who is based in Chicago, has called for the National Guard to be sent to Chicago to quell the war-zone-like atmosphere. The term Chiraq, in response to more citizens killed in Chicago than Iraq, was coined on his radio show.

Mr. Butler is a University of Michigan graduate, former naval officer, commercial rated pilot, and avid sailor, golfer and cyclist. He has been involved in local, state, and national politics since 1982. He has received numerous awards for his community service and his service to the country. He is currently working on his book, The Miseducation of the Black American: Misled by Preachers, Teachers and Politicians.

Project 21, a leading voice of black conservatives for over 25 years, is sponsored by the National Center for Public Policy Research. Its members have been quoted, interviewed or published over 40,000 times since the program was created in 1992. Contributions to the National Center are tax-deductible and greatly appreciated, and may be earmarked exclusively for the use of Project 21.
