It\u2019s the culmination of a very long ideological process.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Calling this the \u201cbiggest internal threat America faces\u201d and \u201cthe enemy within,\u201d he turned to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nationalcenter.org\/ncppr\/staff\/justin-danhof-esq\/\">Justin Danhof, Esq.<\/a><\/strong>\u2013 director of the National Center\u2019s <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nationalcenter.org\/programs\/free-enterprise-project\/\">Free Enterprise Project<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 to find out \u201cwhat we can do about it.\u201d He let viewers know that Justin has \u201cgot a very practical answer to that question.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Justin was joined by former Trump White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEneny and Fox News commentator Tammy Bruce for\u00a0a panel discussion on the problem of corporate interests entering the political arena to help advance the left\u2019s agenda.<\/p>\n<div class=\"responsive-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Let&#039;s Vote the Corporate Bums Out! Says FEP&#039;s Justin Danhof on Fox News Panel\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lxiL2f6h9MA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Justin laid out a \u201cgreat idea that\u2019s very simple: let\u2019s vote.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet\u2019s vote the bums out,\u201d Justin continued. \u201cAnd I\u2019m not talking about voting out the swamp in Washington, D.C. I\u2019m not talking about political votes.\u201d He explained:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>At any publicly traded company, there are two sets of very important votes that take place every single year at their annual shareholder meetings. The first is for the corporate directors, and the second is for shareholder proposals.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Taking a deeper dive into explaining these two important aspects of shareholder activism, by which <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2021\/04\/05\/1-investor-with-1-share-can-call-out-corporate-leftism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">any investor<\/a><\/strong> with even one share of a company\u2019s stock can participate, Justin said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Are you mad at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coca-colacompany.com\/media-center\/georgia-voting-legislation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Coca-Cola<\/a><\/strong>? Good! If you\u2019re an investor, let\u2019s vote the whole board out \u2013 not just the CEO. You\u2019re mad at Delta? Let\u2019s vote [CEO] <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/03\/31\/business\/brian-kemp-ed-bastian-delta-georgia-voter-law\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ed Bastian<\/a><\/strong> out!<\/p>\n<p>Because the evidence bears out that what happens at corporate annual meetings is shameful. And it\u2019s shameful if you\u2019re a conservative investor. Because what we have is the equivalent of a red state election or a purple state election that goes blue every single year because the left coalesces organizations and their money together to vote.<\/p>\n<p>And the evidence bears out that conservatives just don\u2019t. We ignore this vote at our peril because\u2026 politics is downstream from culture. That\u2019s what the left knows. That\u2019s what the right ignores. And I\u2019m glad we\u2019re over the target today talking about it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Laying out the importance of the shareholder proposal process and the need for conservatives to catch up, Justin added:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>These things often seem nuanced or mundane, but they are tremendously important.<\/p>\n<p>And guess what? I run the only organization on the right that \u2013 for the last decade \u2013 has been filing shareholder resolutions at these woke companies to try and course correct\u2026 [But] dozens of liberal groups that represent hundreds of billions of dollars engage and file hundreds of resolutions every single year.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In detail, he went through the importance for investors to pay attention to the proposal process:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>[W]hat the left-wing activists are pushing today \u2013 that\u2019s what becomes mainstream in three or four years.<\/p>\n<p>So let\u2019s look at it. Three or four years ago, Jesse Jackson and the SEIU were demanding affirmative action for boards of directors. Fast-forward to today \u2013 it\u2019s <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goldmansachs.com\/our-commitments\/diversity-and-inclusion\/launch-with-gs\/pages\/commitment-to-diversity.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Goldman Sachs<\/a><\/strong> who says they won\u2019t finance your IPO unless your board is sufficiently woke. It\u2019s <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nationalcenter.org\/ncppr\/2021\/01\/29\/nasdaq-pushes-discrimination\/\">NASDAQ<\/a><\/strong>, who literally has a plan to delist any of their own companies in their exchange that aren\u2019t sufficiently woke or diverse in their eyes.<\/p>\n<p>And so again, in three or four years, the agent of change went from Jesse Jackson and the SEIU to Goldman Sachs and NASDAQ.
