During his <a href=\"https:\/\/urldefense.proofpoint.com\/v2\/url?u=https-3A__www.nationalreview.com_2018_01_trumps-2Dinauguration-2Danniversary-2Dgreat-2Dyear-2Damerica_&amp;d=DwMFaQ&amp;c=uw6TLu4hwhHdiGJOgwcWD4AjKQx6zvFcGEsbfiY9-EI&amp;r=SQVGMIFwOJQqJZFka-X9J2yzbrl7IQxsi_wEm0CRFGM&amp;m=WuDQusQORQech_RAI4jEBEIZ6nbq0VJcUsgtX0nCNjF6YcCVDdoUVJWJDDduNjxC&amp;s=Rv72CtZbaiQINW0DbdViFzGMlMeSPyzKSV1kLSNkWZM&amp;e=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">first year in office<\/a>, he signed a $1.5 trillion tax-rate cut, killed some 1,500 meddlesome regulations, greenlighted the Keystone XL Pipeline, scrapped ObamaCare\u2019s individual mandate (but not the entire program), curbed southern border crossings, erased the ISIS caliphate, and much more.<\/p>\n<p>Joe Biden\u2019s presidency after one year is something completely different. His parade of shattered pledges makes him America\u2019s promise-breaker-in-chief.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>&#8220;With unity we can do important things,&#8221; Biden said in his inaugural address.<\/strong><br \/>\nThis echoed the giant, national hug around which his campaign revolved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"image-ct inline\">\n<div class=\"caption\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote><p>But rather than bring Americans together, Biden has split Blacks and Whites by embracing critical race theory. He has cleaved &#8220;domestic terrorist&#8221; parents and local school boards that they have challenged. Biden has pitted the vaccinated against the unvaccinated. And just last week, he equated roughly half of Americans with Confederate President Jefferson Davis because they favor election integrity and oppose his plans to junk the filibuster and nationalize state and local voting systems.<\/p>\n<p>A January 12 Quinnipiac survey of 1,313 adults found that 42 percent believe Biden has united America while 49 percent <a href=\"https:\/\/urldefense.proofpoint.com\/v2\/url?u=https-3A__poll.qu.edu_images_polling_us_us01122022-5Fubjw88.pdf&amp;d=DwMFaQ&amp;c=uw6TLu4hwhHdiGJOgwcWD4AjKQx6zvFcGEsbfiY9-EI&amp;r=SQVGMIFwOJQqJZFka-X9J2yzbrl7IQxsi_wEm0CRFGM&amp;m=WuDQusQORQech_RAI4jEBEIZ6nbq0VJcUsgtX0nCNjF6YcCVDdoUVJWJDDduNjxC&amp;s=z8BTref22qJG3mcKfZIFN4hPFfc_iwl5vpyKUAXX6Zg&amp;e=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">call him divisive<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Biden promised a return to normal after the unpredictable, often volatile Trump era.<\/strong><br \/>\nAmericans of all stripes now wonder what\u2019s so normal about 7 percent inflation, soaring energy prices, broken supply chains, scores of cargo ships marooned off the coast of southern California\u2019s ports, and Wild-West-style freight-train robberies in Los Angeles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"embed-media fn-video\"><\/div>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Our shelves in our stores look like the Soviet Union in 1972,&#8221; former Walmart CEO Bill Simon told Fox News\u2019 Neil Cavuto: &#8220;This is a shocking and unmitigated disaster.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Bare-shelf Biden also has done a heckuva job with the southern &#8220;border,&#8221; along which 1.776 million illegal aliens have been caught on his watch. Meanwhile, 16 Democrat-run cities suffered record homicides last year, while Brandon dozed in Delaware for <a href=\"https:\/\/urldefense.proofpoint.com\/v2\/url?u=https-3A__nypost.com_2022_01_17_biden-2Dspent-2Dquarter-2Dof-2Dfirst-2Dyear-2Das-2Dpresident-2Din-2Ddelaware_&amp;d=DwMFaQ&amp;c=uw6TLu4hwhHdiGJOgwcWD4AjKQx6zvFcGEsbfiY9-EI&amp;r=SQVGMIFwOJQqJZFka-X9J2yzbrl7IQxsi_wEm0CRFGM&amp;m=WuDQusQORQech_RAI4jEBEIZ6nbq0VJcUsgtX0nCNjF6YcCVDdoUVJWJDDduNjxC&amp;s=NkKJGBQ00i9Beo_Qf0mKdlfX9FwBe0wmNlqX8Gc8nac&amp;e=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">28 percent<\/a> of his first year as president.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Biden repeatedly promised that he would &#8220;shut down the virus.&#8221;<\/strong><br \/>\nJudging by the stunning 1,483,656 new COVID-19 cases that emerged on January 10 alone, Biden clearly blew it. Much of this is beyond Biden\u2019s control, of course. Viruses do not obey executive orders. They do not even speak English &#8212; as far as science can tell. COVID-19 is a tiny, invisible monster that does whatever it wants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"embed-media fn-video\"><\/div>\n<blockquote><p>However, Biden must take full responsibility for the shortages in COVID-19 testing kits and infrastructure. The need for this capability was as surprising as turkey on Thanksgiving. And yet Biden foolishly rejected offers last fall to increase test supplies. This would have helped meet the recent explosion in omicron-fueled demand.<\/p>\n<p>Biden also has been so obsessed with vaccine mandates, mask orders, and related heavy-handedness that he is presiding over a shortage in life-saving monoclonal antibody therapies. While GlaxoSmithKline\u2019s Sotrovimab boasts <a href=\"https:\/\/urldefense.proofpoint.com\/v2\/url?u=https-3A__gulfnews.com_uae_all-2Dyou-2Dneed-2Dto-2Dknow-2Dabout-2Dsotrovimab-2Dthe-2Dnewest-2Dcovid-2D19-2Dtreatment-2Dnow-2Davailable-2Din-2Duae-2D1.80364118&amp;d=DwMFaQ&amp;c=uw6TLu4hwhHdiGJOgwcWD4AjKQx6zvFcGEsbfiY9-EI&amp;r=SQVGMIFwOJQqJZFka-X9J2yzbrl7IQxsi_wEm0CRFGM&amp;m=WuDQusQORQech_RAI4jEBEIZ6nbq0VJcUsgtX0nCNjF6YcCVDdoUVJWJDDduNjxC&amp;s=_HQ0B3W51mniyDuioUh5l_5b0nEMLaEh9oPk2eRdfP0&amp;e=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">97.3 percent effectiveness<\/a> in the United Arab Emirates, that drug was virtually unheard of in America until lately. &#8220;We saw tons of coverage on this treatment as early as July,&#8221; one frustrated U.S. expatriate in the Persian Gulf told me. &#8220;How did Fauci, CDC, and the Biden administration miss this?&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>&#8220;We will repair our alliances and engage with the world once again,&#8221; Biden promised at his inauguration.<\/strong><br \/>\nThese words proved bitterly ironic amid the breathtaking catastrophe that was Biden\u2019s withdrawal from Afghanistan. His surrender of U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, and loyal Afghans to the bloodthirsty Taliban was bad enough. Even worse, Biden\u2019s failure to coordinate with British commanders in Kabul and his days-long refusal to answer Prime Minister Boris Johnson\u2019s urgent phone calls trashed America\u2019s Special Relationship with London.Not to be outdone, Biden\u2019s inability to inform France about a subsequent US-UK-Australia pact, which cost Paris a submarine contract, led the Quai de Orsay to recall its ambassador to Washington for the first time since 1776.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Joe Biden has kept one promise: He\u2019s not Donald J.
