Project 21’s George E. Williams has an extensive background in law enforcement and the military.
Over a span of more than forty years, George served in various branches of the U.S. military, retiring as a U.S. Army Major. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, Air Force, National Guard and Army Reserve. He served two tours of duty in the Republic of South Vietnam as a combat infantry Marine.
For twenty years, he served as a supervisory special agent for the U.S. Dept. of Justice and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). In this role, he was key in the global war on drugs, serving in nations including the United States, Brazil and Nigeria.
As a police officer in Irvington, New Jersey, he served as a K-9 police officer with a specialty in training police dogs for patrol, and also served on the police union’s negotiations committee.
George has previously served as senior vice-chair of the Alabama Republican Party and as a member of the Republican National Committee’s National African American Advisory Council.
George currently serves as a security and police consultant to several international civilian and military police agencies.
