It seems to me that at least one conservative commentator went overboard when he criticized Vice President Joe Biden for playing with some kids and super-soakers while the Gulf crisis continues.

Most people actually do better work when they get a little down-time now and then, and playing with water guns is something most Americans can relate to (and afford!).

That said, President Obama does himself no favors by holding what appear to be frequent A-list concerts at the White House. It is possible to relax and recharge one’s batteries without the assistance of A-list celebrities at events arranged at taxpayer expense.
