Ron Wilkins: The Other Side of Shirley Sherrod

Maybe we’ve been worrying about the wrong farmers.

Ron Wilkins, writing in the left-wing Counterpunch magazine, says — despite what we might think after viewing Shirley SHerrod’s 43-minute Speech to the NAACP — Shirley Sherrod wasn’t all that sympathetic to the plight of black farmers.

Based on his bio at the end of the piece, Wilkins may very well be in a position to know.

It will be interesting to see if the left-wing media cares as much about the plight of the black farmers in the Counterpunch story as they cared about harm ostensibly done to Shirley Sherrod’s reputation by Andrew Breitbart. Or maybe not. I’m guessing the media won’t care, because the villains in the Counterpunch story aren’t prominent conservatives.
