Question for Valerie Jarrett: Why Lie?

Says Byron York: “On ‘Meet the Press’ December 26, top White House adviser Valerie Jarrett said President Obama’s ‘biggest regret’ is that the severity of the economic crisis forced him to ‘spend almost every waking hour in Washington focusing very hard on solving that crisis’…”

Not true! Obama has spent nearly 48% of his presidency outside of Washington, says York.

Why lie?

It’s not a bad thing necessarily for a president to leave Washington (though the 58 days he’s been on vacation so far, not counting his present vacation, seems excessive to me), but it is disconcerting to see someone so close to the president lie shamelessly and for no good reason.
