Bonner Cohen on Hydraulic Fracturing: The Way to Energy Independence

“Energy independence” is not simply a slogan kicking around — it’s something our nation can really do.  That’s the message National Center senior fellow Bonner Cohen delivered in a February 2011 interview with the Heartland Institute’s Environment and Climate News podcast.

Bonner notes that hydraulic fracturing is a safe and efficient means of extracting large amounts of natural gas locked underneath America, but the Obama Administration and its supporters are making progress difficult through misinformation and regulatory roadblocks in their war on fossil fuels.

The National Center for Public Policy Research is a communications and research foundation supportive of a strong national defense and dedicated to providing free market solutions to today’s public policy problems. We believe that the principles of a free market, individual liberty and personal responsibility provide the greatest hope for meeting the challenges facing America in the 21st century.
